An erase button that actually erases. Counterparty, amount and route disappear from your view permanently — no undo, no support ticket, no archive we quietly keep.
Separately, wipe on sign-out clears the local session — including a request in progress. It is the right setting on a shared or borrowed device and the wrong one if you tend to close tabs mid-transaction.
Route, amount, rate, fee, city, agent, collection code, stage history and any note attached to the request. From your dashboard, from your history, and from what an operator can pull up about your handle.
Where law obliges us to keep a minimal record of a transaction having happened, we keep that alone: the fact, the amount, the date. It carries no profile, because there is no profile in our systems to attach it to — no name, no address, no document.
We would rather state this exactly than advertise a total erasure we cannot lawfully deliver. A service promising that either does not understand its obligations or is lying about them.
A transaction history is a map of your life: where you were, who you dealt with, what you were worth and when. Most platforms keep it indefinitely because it is cheap to store and useful to sell.
We have no use for yours. Holding it creates risk for you and liability for us, and the only party served by a permanent ledger of your movements is someone who might one day come asking for it.
An agent’s own accounting trail does not burn — it is the record between two businesses and is retained as long as the law requires. What an agent holds about you is a route, an amount and a city, and they are forbidden from retaining even that after settlement.
No, and this is the real cost of the feature. Open the dispute first, get it resolved, then burn. Auto-burn on completion means the record goes when the request settles, so anything unsettled is never affected.
Yes, apart from the minimal retained record described above. An operator looking at your handle after you burn sees the same absence you do.
It burns separately, from the chat screen, so you can clear a conversation without touching your transaction history or the reverse.
We can be compelled to hand over what we hold. After a burn that is the minimal record — amount, date, direction — and nothing else: the burned detail is gone from every system that can read it at the moment you burn, and residual copies inside our short-lived backups age out within days on a fixed schedule. We state the window rather than pretend it does not exist.
Not for you, not for us, not for anyone asking on your behalf. That is the whole point of the feature and we will not pretend otherwise at the moment you press it.
Most clients turn on burn-on-completion once and never think about it again.
